ICRC innovation tackles complex problems to find new solutions, and fast-tracks incremental improvements for responsive and effective operations. Five distinct areas for innovation are particularly pertinent for the ICRC’s ongoing and future work: health care in fragile environments; new technologies; sustainable energy; proximity and access; and new financing models . The ICRC dedicates resources and works with stakeholders to adopt appropriate innovative solutions, scaling and adapting them to ICRC’s operational contexts and ethical standards.
