ICRC spokesperson in Israel, Gilad Grossman, was interviewed on the Israeli public radio.

“We must remember that the most important thing is that we will bring the civilians, the soldiers, and the women and men home,” he said.

Grossman referred to the ICRC’s role in implementing the ceasefire and hostage release agreement between Israel and Hamas: “We collect them from a certain point in Gaza and transfer them to Israeli hands. It is a very complex operation. In many areas of Gaza, there is no organized road system, there is always a fear that something could happen, such as a vehicle running over ammunition. We are in a war zone.”
