Representatives from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) met with representatives of the families of the hostages and missing persons in Israel. At the meeting, the family representatives were informed that the ICRC had contacted Hamas and representatives of the Israeli government regarding access to all hostages and prisoners.

“We call for the safe release of the hostages, for communication between them and their families, and for representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross to be allowed access to those who have been captured. We are strengthening the families of the missing and hostages in these difficult days and will continue to remain in constant contact with them.”
