The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Iran extends its deepest condolences and sympathies to those people affected by the recent flood in Golestan and other provinces of Iran.

The ICRC delegation in Iran is carefully following the situation as it evolves. The Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS), our main partner in Iran has mobilized its staff and volunteers and is doing its best to assist the affected communities. The ICRC stands ready to explore the possibility to support the IRCS and other national disaster response bodies, if required.

At times of crises, affected people need food, water, and shelter. But they also need to know whether their loved ones are safe, and if separated, to be in touch with, and eventually be reunited with them.

If you would like to support the affected people of this crisis through the IRCS, you may find the related information here.

For further operational updates in this regard please check the IRCS website and its social media platforms.
