The ICRC regional delegation in Bangkok provides assistance to victims of violence and works with authorities in order to improve the conditions in detention facilities. It is covering operations in Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam. It also endeavours to promote and to strengthen humanitarian law and universal humanitarian principles.

Job purpose

The position holder will have the following responsibilities:

  • Provides support to the Assistant in charge of the Chancellery department
  • Performs general secretarial duties
  • Drafts diplomatic correspondence and records management guidelines
  • Assists the compilation of reportings
  • Organizes seminars and events
  • Supports works of other departments, upon request
  • Translates documents
  • Provides training to the staff on ICRC Protocol, Document security, Filing, standard computer technologies and web platform
  • Replaces the Receptionist/Telephone Operator, and other team members and does their jobs of the Day

Your education and experience:

  • Bachelor degree in secretarial or related field
  • Professional experience in a similar position of 3 years minimum
  • Experiences in information management or records management
  • Good command of written and spoken English, French an asset
  • Excellent computer skills (office tools, lotus notes, MS Office, Sharepoint, social media, etc)
  • Training Experiences
  • Capacity to treat information with confidentially
