Omar Odeh was for two years the deputy head of the ICRC delegation in Somalia, one of the most important missions of the institution for decades.

In this interview conducted in Paris in May 2016, he reflects on the humanitarian situation of the population and on ICRC’s specific missions (visits to prisoners, support for hospitals, etc.) in a country beset by multiple conflicts compounded by climatic events such as floods and droughts.
