144 students from 31 countries including Israel put on the combatant uniform, the magistrate’s dress or the humanitarian vest… During the week, 144 students immersed themselves in the terrible fictitious conflict of Suleavan.

It was in fact the 28th edition of the Jean-Pictet Competition in International humanitarian law, organized in 2016 in Évian-les-Bains, France. Objective of these role plays and case studies: “Taking the law out of the books…”

 

The 2017 edition of the competition will take place in Bordjomi, Georgia, from March 18th to 25th.
