Film/video

The ICRC film collection, covering 1921 until nowadays, is composed of 35mm, 16mm and videos. It represents more than 7000 titles, or in other words, about 2000 hours of image editing. The collection shows all aspects of assistance and protection activities brought by ICRC to the victims of conflicts in both the XXth and the XXIst Century. These images represent a tremendous source for whomever is interested in History in general or ICRC’s in particular. Most of these images are now available on the ICRC audiovisual archives portal. This blog is the opportunity to explore the wealth of the collection, and to discuss or question ICRC’s activities through its filmography.
